Together with my girlfriend I decided to explore Australia this spring. We arrived at Sydney airport at around 7:30pm via Qantas Airlines. we didn’t expect the weather to be that cold… hmmm around 11c. My sis and her fiance was there to fetch us and drive us back to Canberra. We will be staying on her place there.. and thats another 3 hours drive.

over somewhere around Southern Australia.. maybe the Delta of Port Augusta??

were like Sydney Olympic delegates..ocz we are welcomed with Aussie the Koala and Hoppy Kangaroo.

so its 80 for Sydney Suburbs…

So i didn’t know it was that cold and unbearable cold for me and Jing… the cars heater isn’t enough to heat us up, plus the fact that we are “Gutom na”.. we drop by at Coolabah get some bonnets, glove, hot chocolate and nice burgers. it was around 12midnight.

some burgers please..

brrrrr…… darn i didnt bring thick clothes i have my swim wear instead… Oh Bondi here i come..

and so it was cold and sour beetroot. back to the car for another hour and a half of driving. Revive and survive post are heaving with travelers. long trucks loaded with meat are traveling Canberra bound too… yeah just a bit scary to drive near them during those hours.

after two toilet breaks. i saw the welcome signage you know those old Barrio “arko” and it says “Welcome to the Australian Capital Territory ” oh yeah half sleep half awake. it was 2 am and its chillin cold.

we passed by the civic center and saw a lot of party goers along that stretch.. i saw two girls goin the T.A.T.U way. one lady wearing a long Gothic inspired black party dress. she wore a red devils horn head band. then her girl pal was wearing a sexy roman dress with an angel wings.. almost bare and its was around 3c in Canberra.. thats cold and she didnt even bother.

along that stretch are all nice, busy partying block. some sort of Malate-Orosa-Nakpil stretch. got bored here.. cross the road and you’ll be delighted by another themed bar next door.

so off we go a preview of the parliament house, et al i cant figure it out, coz its either im half awake, too tired. a full brake awaken me from a shallow sleep at the back seat. we home.

the good news—-”Hey Dave heat the bed, set the blanket to the warmest coz the central heater broke down yesterday.”

Damn.. “Sis, are you trying to kill us, we cant stand it”

“ok, sorry ill try to call up servicing first thing tomorrow, take this heater fan, goodnight”

ill continue soon.. im to occupied to recall the holiday i took..

we get through the freezing cold night. It was past 11 in the morning when we wake up. i still cant take that cold breeze. Jing was still on the bed and cant get up because it so cold. i was wearing a two layer of shirt and a sweater. i went to the kitchen to get something for breakfast. i saw a post it message from my Sis for they are out to buy something for barbecue today.

its a weekend and their Filipino friends are coming over for the barbecue. i guess this is how laid back Australia is.. i like it its what i want for my weekend. get together and laugh over food or beer.

minutes later shes back with all those barbecue needs. beef, pork,chicken, and all types of bratwurst i can ever imagine. i went to the room to wake up jing and saw her scratching her body all over. she had winter itch…its all red and itchy…

she went on the dress up and put some menthol ointment to ease the itchiness. she like weekend barbecue anyway and she cant let the winter itch snatch this rare chance we cant do in Singapore.
